Matt is a Financial Adviser who has been providing both strategic and practical advice with Walshs since 2015. This has been primarily for medical practitioners, doctors in training, as well as consultants in the early stages of their specialisation. Matt provides advice across the areas of Property, Equities, Lending, Insurance, Superannuation and Salary Packaging. As well as providing specialist financial advice for his clients, Matt is also a qualified and actively practicing Mortgage Broker.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking.

Matt joined Walshs in 2022 with over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently Matt spent 10 years with BT/Westpac with the last 5 being in their Insurance Distribution team.

With five years prior experience in accounting and finance administration, Meg joined the Walshs Team in 2020 as a client services coordinator and has worked with the clients of Hugh Walsh and Michael Walsh. She is now a part of the Walshs Corporate Secretarial Team.

Meg holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Tourism Management and Marketing.

Meg started at Walshs in 2022. With over six years of experience in administration and client services, Meg is dedicated to providing exceptional support and ensuring smooth operations within the team. As the Personal Assistant to Hugh Walsh, Meg’s strong communication and organisational skills enable her to consistently deliver friendly and efficient client experiences. 

Merin joined Walshs in October 2025 as a Junior Accountant within the Wealth Health team, where she supports tax compliance, client advisory, and a range of financial processes. She recently completed a Master of Business in Professional Accounting at Queensland University of Technology. Merin is a highly driven professional committed to continuous learning and development, with a strong focus on refining her expertise and helping clients achieve their financial objectives.

Michael is a Salary Packaging Assistant at Walsh’s Financial Practice, supporting the team with day-to-day administrative tasks and client service. With a background in business and experience across clerical support and market research he brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to his role. Michael values clear communication, efficiency, and a positive client experience.

Michael Walsh is the founder and CEO of Walshs Accounting and Taxation. Michael has over 30 years’ experience advising SMEs, professionals and high net worth individuals. He specialises in business and tax-effective structures, business management, taxation and superannuation.

Michael is the holder of a Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma in Financial Management, Diploma of Financial Planning, is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Taxation Advisor, accredited SMSF Specialist and authorised financial planner.

Moana joined the Walshs administration team in 2009 and has worked in various roles across the business during this time, including client service coordinator, and taxation administration. Moana now manages the Corporate Secretarial needs for all Walshs’ Clients and brings her considerable knowledge and expertise to this role.

Moana holds a Diploma of Business Administration and Management.

Murray joined Walshs in 2022 after starting his journey in public practice in 2021. Murray spent a number of years working as an accountant in the commercial area, he is a full member of CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce.
