Since 1 July 2018 the team at Walshs has been making a donation to World Vision for every referral they hear about.
Each donation buys fast-growing seeds for one family to help parents provide nourishment for their children all year round.
Walshs Partner Hugh Walsh launched the initiative which he said was very important to Walshs.
“It really means a lot to us when our clients tell other people about us,” Hugh said.
“We wanted to find a way to show our appreciation for that and when one of our team suggested we “paid it forward”, it was the easiest decision we’ve ever made.”
Hugh said when Michael Walsh started Walshs nearly 30 years ago, he made it a priority to help make a difference in the community.
“Thanking people for recommending us this way continues that commitment.
“We’ve already made several donations this year to kick of the initiative and we want to encourage new clients to “dob in a mate” to make an even bigger impact on families who need our help.”
At the end of the financial year, Walshs will let clients know how many families they have helped us to help.
